Industry farewells NZ Wine Growers Sustainability GM, Philip Manson
After almost two decades as NZ Wine Growers Sustainability General Manager, Philip leaves the business this month, and also steps down as chairman of the interim Fruit Fly Council where he led the development of GIA’s first operational agreement. Kiwiberry growers join GIA biosecurity partnership
The kiwiberry industry is the latest industry group to join the Government Industry Agreement (GIA) biosecurity partnership. They will be represented by Kiwifruit Vine Health (KVH), the first industry group to sign the GIA Deed in May 2014. Read more

B3 Conference looks at the future of biosecurity in NZ
Around 150 biosecurity experts gathered at the B3 (Better Border Biosecurity Conference) in Wellington earlier last week to look at the research needed to underpin New Zealand’s future biosecurity system.

The conference aimed to look at New Zealand's future biosecurity challenges such as changing trade and tourism, whilst also reinforcing the importance of science for an effective border biosecurity system. Read more
