Tomato industry signs Government Industry Agreement on biosecurity
Tomatoes New Zealand Incorporated, representing commercial fresh growers in New Zealand, has become the latest industry group to sign the Government Industry Agreement for Biosecurity Readiness and Response Deed.

Nashi NZ joins GIA partnership under Pipfruit NZ
The nashi industry have joined the Government Industry Agreement (GIA) biosecurity partnership. They will be represented by Pipfruit New Zealand Incorporated who signed the GIA Deed on 3 December 2104. Read more

The GIA Secretariat caught up with him following the conclusion of his role as chair of the GIA interim FMD Council, to talk about the changes he's seen during his career, and get his views on New Zealand's biosecurity system. Australian plant biosecurity RD&E forum looks cross-sectoral priorities
The GIA Secretariat recently supported Gisele Irvine to attend and represent GIA partners at the Plant Biosecurity Research Development & Extension (RD&E) Priorities Forum, held in Victoria, Australia. The two-day event, run by Plant Health Australia (PHA), brought together around 90 participants to identify the top cross-sectoral priorities for research in Australia.
