Response Guide Joint Working Group
The Response Guide Joint Working Group has been set up to develop a guide for managing biosecurity responses under GIA. The Group was established following the March 2014 GIA Biosecurity Forum.
GIA introduces joint decision making between industry and government for biosecurity responses. It is critical that Deed Signatories are very clear about their respective roles, responsibilities and accountabilities in biosecurity responses.
The Group has completed the GIA response guide, and will now develop guidance for agreeing an Operational Agreement under urgency in a response.
The Group will issue communiqués following each meeting to keep potential signatories informed of their progress.

Barry O’Neil (Kiwifruit Vine Health), Moira Lymburn (MPI), Trish Pearce (NZ Equine Health Association), Michael Brooks (Poultry Industry Association NZ and Egg Producers Federation) withdrew from the JWG prior to the meeting on 15 October 2014.
